I was reading an article within PC magazine about why Gmail web interface would not represent a good alternative for the standard business interface provided by Microsoft Outlook and other standards email clients. The simplicity of the discussion and the argument presented clicked in my head ....
Is it that simple .... becoming an editor ... I mean !!!
Is is as simple as writing your thoughts on an A4 page and publish that in a magazine ? I guess not , but on the other hand it makes sense... With the way the Internet is going and the popularity of blogs, many of the rules that restricted unconventional talents are gone... The format rule, the use of the first person, the excessive use of punctuations, and the use of abbreviation.
I do not mean to say that editors are just bloggers, but in this age of information overflow who is actually judging , and who cares to judge. We are not in the age of shakespear and no one even wants to write like that any more. We do not want to read text books either, because they remind us of the tough days at school. So is it fair to the old generation of editors who mastered this art from their long years of studying literature and reading a lot of books and getting really oriented in their area of expertise. Is it fair to give simple bloggers the title of editors just because it happens that some people liked what was written ... they found it easy to read and made perfect sense to them so they came back and read some more, they even left some commnets, and voted for the entire topic.
If I remember the rules correctly, a good article or a story must have a beginning, middle, and an end and this can easily be applied to a blog. No one reading really needs the references hence they have their own background on the topic which enables them to take the information for granted or totally ignore it's claim.
I guess in our times it does not matter if the article is following the rules or not as long as it entertains or informs. Blogs takes that personal point of view and articles can to and in doing so the once thick line between editors and bloggers get thinner to that point where even editors would let go a little and just write their thoughts on an A4 page.

How they kill the love
If you have been hurt before, you will understand this ....
If you have been hurt before, you will appreciate knowing you are not alone ....
If you have been hurt before, you would want to avoid getting hurt again........
Have you ever been hurt to the point that the love within you just died ??
Since it is just about thoughts, I can write this without wishing that the one who hurt others read what happens to the victims...
Since is it just a thought, I can only wish that the one who hurt me would read it and know how I felt.........
I've once heard that the one thing that is worse than rape is betrayal , I don't want to diminish the emotional stress induced by rape... I just want to stress on the impact of betrayal by a close one in comparison to the rape by a stranger .... The utmost would be rape by someone you know and that what makes it even harder..... So what about betrayal that makes it all so hard?
Trust is a very dear thing that we rarely give to anyone, some people I know do not even trust their own selves ... so we value trust and we build that big walls around it ... we guard it because to us it is all we have.... you might argue and say that love and family is something we value more and we guard as well, but it is all about trust... loving someone is at the core of trusting that person..... I don't mean you trust in that materialistic sense that you give money and ask for things to be done, no, I mean you trust that they would love you back and know you will be safe with them no matter what... you trust that your secrets are safe and what you do is always appreciated if not verbally it is in how they act towards you. It might seem from what I am voicing out is that I am referring to that love that many seem to look for, no again... I mean basic love, the one parents give to their children, and we give to members of our families like sisters, brothers, and grandparents. The love people look for did not survive the test of time and the hardship of life, it is also conditional with superficial elements that discard the very essence of pure unselfish love....
Did I lose you ? I was talking about trust , then I linked that to unconditional love that is natural between families.... Why is family love so powerful, and how it affects trust and what does betrayal have to do with all this? Simply put, betrayal is when the love for the family is torn out due to mistrust . Why do I call it a betrayal , cause it pills up , and no matter how hard you try , the love residues will always be there, yet, you cannot allow them to grow back. You are so hurt that you cannot even cry out WHY .... the big question that only you care to find answers for...you think about forgiveness, and moving on... you dilute yourself that what has happened was unintentional , they talk about denial and self preservation to maintain that strength that only few have and very little use at the right moments. Then you scream again WHY and you get the second shock when you realize that they do not think that they have done something wrong... your own blood finds that this was just a quarrel and at that instance ... they kill the love you had... they exist in your life and what ever you did for love, now is done for duty ..... done because there is no hope for anything more... and there is no exit from such a relation. Those who have been in multiple relationships might think that they have experienced the purity of the love one holds for his own blood. The betrayal I talk about is the type that changes people... it changes how you look at things and how you react. It kills the passion in your words, and the song in your voice, you coexist and when the tears stop... then you will know that the love has gone.....

How to Servive the test of Time?
Are you Loyal? Do you have friends like since you were three years old? Well, it does not have to be that far.. but at least it has been 10 years and you are still friends?
I have such people that I call friends, and as time passes by they get promoted to best friends as they seek to strengthen the ties we had then and still have today.....
I always think about the two way street of friendship and how when two pepole meet after a long time they need not worry about why they haven't spoken for such a long time and focus on seizing this moment and enjoying what ever time they can allocate .....
I think also about how we keep pulling each other back into relationships that otherwise would have been lost without the perseverance of at least one of the parties involved.... Many might tell you it is easy to let go of someone who hurt you , but it is much harder when you simply lose track and wake up someday and wonder do I really have a best friend who withstood the test of time? It is not about how many , it is about finding that friend who you can call on after nearly a year and just say I am coming over or lets get out somewhere and drink a cop of coffee ... I have been doing this for the past year... calling on old friends and just talk about what happened, how life took us , what we have been up to .. I was very much pleased by the responses I got and how people still feel the need to connect to those they once knew instead of simply seeking new relationships....
So what is the secret? it is time and will? it takes two of you to make it happen and it takes only one to break everything apart.... I have been blessed with two special friends that I knew since school and now I am 30 and still have them in my life... I am at a point where I might be leaving and breaking old ties , I would like to think that those whom I came to know would want me around in their lives even if I am 1000 of miles away..... a lot of my friends will be on this test and I will write back maybe in a year or so to see if they have survived the test of time !!!!
